JOB TITLE:
Manager of China Electrified Powertrain Product Engineering
LOCATION:
Shanghai / Chongqing
Primary Function:
The individual reports to Head of PWT Product Engineering AMEA. Is in charge of the coordination of electrified Powertrain team, ensuring to reach technical objectives according to programs timing. Develops the skills of individuals and builds the team to develop new concepts in the areas of driveline (main accountability), battery and fuel cell.
Job Description:
➢ Drive team in the development of new programs and, achieving time, cost and quality targets of the Projects
➢ efficiency of R&D facilities and resources
➢ continuous updating of base regulations and norms
➢ preparation and management of product data
➢ development and implementation of management tools and monitoring design activities
➢ promotion of the introduction and development of corporate methodologies regarding different product lines
➢ analysis of actual and budget/forecast variances for each project
➢ development of DFMEA
➢ development of DVP
➢ in charge of managing the current Production products, leading the continuous improvement with the goal of achieving cost reduction and quality improvement targets.
Main Requirements:
➢ Engineering degree- Mechanical engineering, Master preferred.
➢ 10 years + worked in product development of automotive environment.
➢ Knowledge of core components for driveline (es. Gearbox, electric motors, inverters etc.) and their integration on electrical vehicles.
➢ Experience as Design Leader for driveline components.
➢ Capability to develop a vision of innovative electric applications for bus and commercial vehicles.
➢ Thorough understanding of automotive product development.
➢ Very good communication skills in English, written and spoken.
➢ Knowledge of core components for batteries and fuel cells
➢ Motivation, team working, leadership, ability to make things simple, Conflict resolution, Proactive approach.
➢ development and integration of the appropriate Product/Applications for the product line, providing resources, testing facilities, tools and the appropriate methodologies.
