Implement new EVJ strategy, initiate contacts with existing and potential customers, identify their needs in terms of product specifications and schedules and sell appropriate products accordingly
Pursue sales leads and achieve the personal sales objectives with the product range of Components and Finished Lubes in China. In addition, support business development and customer management by initially identifying potential customers, provision of updated market intelligence to supervisor/team, coordination with customer services/ logistics personnel where necessary, assistance in product promotion, etc.
According to the agreed strategies, policies and practices, provide inputs and participate in the marketing/market development and planning, technical development of the products and services to support the implementation of sales strategies and polices in Mainland China, conclusion of sales contracts at defined sales goals.
Follow the Company and BU guideline to conduct distributor management, and according to agreed sales policies to serve GKA in China.
Conduct the implementation of EVJ sales and marketing strategies, policies, (cross-functional) tactics and plans, pricing structure, promotion events, target accounts, resources necessary to achieve the agreed sales goals, by utilizing the outputs of analyses on market intelligence and current and future competitiveness in products/product applications/pricing/services, Prepare presentations to explain and introduce the company’s current and future strategies.
Sales & Marketing Budgeting
Prepare the budget and oversee the expenditures in the allocated areas to ensure sales and marketing activities are conducted with cost effectiveness.
Direct the activities and lead the process to develop and penetrate markets with new or existing products/ services/ technologies by overseeing the implementation of the defined strategies, the application and evaluation of market intelligence on the analyses of competitors, the market development, own competitiveness.
Maintain customer relationship
Visit and establish professional relationships with large volume customers and other potential customers of large sales prospects, as necessary, to negotiate or lead negotiation of large sales.
Direct and lead the establishment of a database and the processes to obtain, update, maintain and evaluate market trends, the application of products/technology, the service needs, intelligence on competitors, etc in order to identify new business opportunities. Oversee the performance of market research project, the development of competitor grid and benchmarking analyses.
Product and application management
Provide leadership and/or supports the design, development and implementation of product portfolio/ service lines, including the new applications of existing products via application experience exchange with technical RBU personnel, participation in product launch, understanding to production capacities. Develop, review and revise the pricing structure, e.g. transfer prices, indent and ex-stocks prices based on cost analyses and current/foreseeable economic and competitive conditions. Continuously monitor the marketability/performance of the products to assure they continue to fit the defined strategy and take appropriate action to divest or revise. Plan and oversee the management of distribution channels, policies, distributor services, including analyses on the effectiveness and recommend changes as needed.
Management of marketing communications
Ensure the activities and events of marketing communications are coordinated, support marketing plan objectives as an effective expenditure of resources. Manage the activities of marketing events and promotional campaign, including participation in the specific promotional events, the quality of promotional materials, pre- and post- evaluation of the advertising/promotion plan presented by the chosen vendor,
Support to inventory management
Provide data and timely feedback on end use market trends, buy analyses, to support defining and revising the levels of a regional/local buffer stock in order to meet timely customer needs.
Support of business management
Participate in the formulation of business plan, including the development and implementation of new capital project to optimize profitability through product/ customer mix analyses, e.g. consolidation and rationalization of cost control, sales volume, sales price, capacity development and R&D guidance. Provides input and support to the supervisor in the development of joint ventures, affiliations and partnership arrangements.
People and function management
Plan and control the function structure and manpower requirements, headcount and budget, establish development measures and appraise the performance of the team. Direct and prioritize the workload of team members. Train (via on-the-job, in-house and/or external training programs) and coach the direct reports (who are mostly experienced professionals/ managers) and develop the succession planning in order to improve the working efficiency, quality and professional skills of the team members. Compile and review work records to determine department productivity, quality of output and cost of service. Develop methods to continually improve results.
Education: Bachelor degree in Chemistry or chemical engineering / technology
Working Experience: 5 years above
Technical & Professional Knowledge: familiar with Chinese automotive industry is highly preferred
