3.0 Qualification:
3.1 Bachelor degree in Chemistry or equivalent from a recognized institution of chemicals,
material science or chemical engineering, master is preferred.
3.2 3+ years’ technical/sales experience in waterborne resins such as Industrial coating/
Waterborne adhesive, construction materials or Paint& coating industry, with emulsion
selling experience or new business development experience preferred.
3.3 Independent, self-motivated and success driven, be able to work under pressure, willing
to learn and change.
3.4 Good communication, organization, presentation and interpersonal skills.
3.5 English proficiency both written and spoken.
3.6 Strategic and analytical thinking would be a plus.
4.0 Job Purpose
Manage customers working with PSA, construction, waterborne industrial coating and
other new applications to deliver WBR.
5.0 Key Accountabilities:
5.1 Identify and develop new businesses in-line with company’s marketing strategy,
marketing research and new business development in waterborne application.
5.2 Accountable for the sales performance and growth of the water-borne business in
delegated customers/areas.
5.3 Implement sales plan to achieve targeted revenue, margin and profitability.
5.4 Monitor sales performance versus Budget and take corrective actions as needed to
ensure achievement of budget.
5.5 Gather market intelligence (customers, applications, products, key people etc.); Compile
customer database and update information on regular basis.
5.6 Work with Technical Service to provide high level of technical support to important
customers.
5.7 Work with Local R&D, TS and Global NBD & technical resource to target new market.
5.8 Build good relationships with customers and distributors. Provide effective solutions to
address their needs.
5.9 Attend and handle customers’ complaints and propose solutions to resolve the problems.
5.10 Manage and monitor collection of the company’s receivables within agreed credit terms
extended to customers.
6.0 Key Challenges:
6.1 New business development of waterborne resin in new market and get full map &
opportunities in defined applications.
6.2 Continuously grow the business (volume and profitability) in a commodity market
environment.
