Objectives:
Technically driven business development and technical customer support in Asia/Pacific for Automotive Fluids
Technical coordination between local sales teams, regional business management and global Technical Marketing Management (TMM) to ensure fast response to technical market needs (NBD, NCM, etc.)
As part of the Regional Business Management the position incumbent is responsible for identifying and managing new business leads with strong commercial prospects
In alignment with TMM, manage external application testing, ensure knowledge build-up and sharing with the Global team within the approved budget
Product knowledge sharing and technical training of the Sales teams and distributors in Asia/Pacific
As the local product owner, provide technical support for regional production and product localization projects
Main Tasks:
Provide Automotive Fluids product training and technical service in the region
Manage customer leads for Automotive Fluids business in Asia and drive NBD in cooperation with country Sales
Provide strong guidance to local Sales to align on business prospects and technical follow up
Prepare technical requirements for tenders
Manage the local production and product localization process according to QM requirements
Lead quality related NCM investigations
Identify technical needs for a potential Automotive Fluids product differentiation
Manage technical service resources in the region within business guardrails
Manage interfaces with internal regulatory groups and regional product stewards within the area of responsibility
Monitor market trends, conduct competitive landscape mapping & constantly update product-market knowledge
Requirements:
Formal Technical education (Master or Doctoral degree) in Chem. / Chem.E. / Chem.Tech. Background in business management is a big plus
Working Experience: 7 years+
Technical & Professional Knowledge: deep understanding of the automotive or lubricant industries. High degree of proficiency in written & oral communication skills in English
