Main Tasks：
-Responsible for all the projects/Topics in respective SBU and contribute with full ownership; have a clear understanding of the market/industry trends, competitor’s products and applications in engineering plastics.
-Run every project professionally with good understanding of the entire value chain from the operations to market needs.
-Communicate effectively with full participation in all the internal/external technical exchange meetings.
-Envision the technological needs at the early stage of product development and escalate investment needs keep the stakeholders informed as early as possible.
-Cross functional technology and formulation support by close coordination with RAP.
-Have sharp technology insight on cross Engineering Plastics product line and drive technically the projects to successful commercialization.
-As project manager for complex projects, responsible to come up with innovative ideas & processes within the SBU.
-Continuous monitoring of projects and topics and stop projects that are not worthwhile to continue.
-Actively monitor trial runs for the products developed within the SBU both at pilot plant and production.
-Technically challenge projects/ topics, milestones, execution process, and results to ensure high standards in the respective field of work.
-Regular planning, monitoring and adjustment of resources for corresponding SBU that are needed for successful completion of the projects/topics.
-Set up PD facilities and build infrastructures in specific new R&D center.
-Establish reputation in the technology community by actively initiating technical exchange and develop close interaction industry experts both within and outside BASF.
-Coordinate with all functions including product management, operations and sales & marketing to support and deliver according to the customer needs.
-Prepare reports, presentation and documents needed for timely updating of all project activities.
-Build up connection and network with regional & global PD team.
-Coordinating projects in specific region by close interaction with customer and commercial team using local language, responsible for product launch from technical view point.
-Ensure that the documentation of research activity is routinely done by the product developers and upload into the Knowledge Finder database. Ensure technical, IP, EHS and commercially relevant questions get clarified prior and during the project ad product development work, together with the relevant centers of expertise and PM units
-Ensure that the formulation is routinely updated in the Dragon database.
-Responsible for EHS in the respective areas of work and responsibility. Ensure that the team members also are also strictly adhere to EHS protocols, ensure safe work practices, update EHS documentation and implement action plans. Initiates MOC’s, risk assessments and takes initiative for the follow up actions required.
-Direct responsibility for the safety of new chemicals brought to the lab.

Requirements:
-Education: PhD or master in Chemistry/ Polymer Science/Polymer Engineering/Chemical Engineering
-Working Experience: At least 3-5 years’ experience in Research and Development in Engineering Plastics industry.
-Technical & Professional Knowledge: High level of technical background for plastic compounding technology and raw materials. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent communication skill in English
-Good Project Management skill
