Job Dimensions
• The primary job responsibility of an Analysis R&D Engineer is to answer technical or research problems faced by various
BUs. This position should have strong technical expertise in a specific area and a great sense of responsibility.
• This position is responsible for all the separation technology in including GC, LC, SEC, IC and etc. He/she will directly
lead the responsible for the management of a number of lab subordinates and instrument of several million dollars.
• This position will interact with the analytical teams of in France and US.
Major activities and accountabilities
1. Safety & Quality
• Conduct work in compliance with safety rules;
• Organize the drafting of HSE & fire-fighting rules, well understand hazards and control measures within work area and
position.
• Participate in safety education and trainings, Lead employee to participate in safety activities such as safety meeting, safety
start etc. actively.
• Be responsible for the establishment and revision and implementation of safety rules and procedures of the team. Organize
accident emergency plans and conduct drills when appropriate.
• In case of various accidents, rescue shall be organized in time, the root cause of the accident shall be analyzed and
rectification measures shall be formulated. Enter the impact system as required.
• Collect and report employees’ criticism and accusation of the problems existing in safety work, and notify that every
employee has the right to refuse illegal command and force risky operation.
2. Operation
• Ensure consistency and reliability of all analytical work, comply with best Quality practices.
• Participate in technical service and product development activities in collaboration with R&D engineers from different
Business Units.
• Work closely with other R&D engineers and actively participate in R&D projects.
• Supervise technicians in day-to-day lab work.
• Prepare technical report and summarize results in presentation.
• Communicate with peers in other R&D centers and organize Round-Robin tests if necessary.
3. Innovation
• Develop analytical methods for functional additives, coating, performance material and other products
• Propose plan for the development of the team and implement it.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
1.Knowledge:
• Background knowledge in separation chemistry and spectroscopy
2. Skills:
• Hands-on experience in HPLC, GC, IC, SEC, mass spectroscopy and ICP
• Demonstrated capabilities in DOE, problem solving;
• Good written and oral English.
• French is a plus
3.Experience:
• Master degree and above in analytical chemistry or organic chemistry
• Three to five years working experience in related area
4. Abilities:
• Self-motivated with good sense of job responsibilities;
• Innovative mind, eagerness to learn;
• Team spirit, good communication skills
